Dr. Jordan Kassoff joined Albany Eye Associates in 1993 and has been providing comprehensive ophthalmic care to the Capital Region for more than three decades. Fellowship-trained in corneal and external disease, he now focuses extensively on the diagnosis and treatment of dry eye disease and complex ocular surface disorders.
Dr. Kassoff has developed a large specialty dry eye disease practice dedicated to helping patients with chronic ocular discomfort, meibomian gland dysfunction, blepharitis, ocular surface inflammation, and other external eye conditions. His background in corneal, refractive, and cataract surgery provides unique insight into the management of complicated ocular surface disease and post-surgical eye conditions. He is recognized for combining advanced diagnostics and modern treatment approaches with highly individualized patient care.
A graduate of Cornell University and Albany Medical College, Dr. Kassoff completed his ophthalmology residency at Albany Medical Center followed by a fellowship in Cornea and External Disease/Refractive Surgery at the Bethesda Eye Institute at Saint Louis University. During his fellowship, he also served as an Instructor of Ophthalmology.
During his career, Dr. Kassoff has remained actively involved in clinical research, physician education, and professional leadership. He has participated in nationally recognized ophthalmic research studies, authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, and lectured extensively on refractive surgery and dry eye disease. He currently serves as a speaker and educator on emerging therapies and the management of dry eye disease and ocular surface disease.
Dr. Kassoff is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Cornea Society, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the New York State Ophthalmological Society, where he previously served as an elected Board Member.

Dr. Allen treats a wide variety of eye conditions including cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye, amblyopia, strabismus, ptosis, eyelid malposition, eye allergies, and infections. She is an experienced cataract surgeon with expertise in premium intraocular lenses including Toric, Multifocal, and extended depth-of-focus (EDOF) lenses. She has extensive experience managing glaucoma using medical, laser, and minimally invasive techniques including iStent, Xen gel stent, and ECP. Pediatric patients and strabismus treatment constitute a substantial part of her practice.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Allen is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Albany Medical Center, where she teaches residents the latest diagnostic and therapeutic techniques. She was honored with the Golden Apple Award by residents in 2015 and 2025 and was ranked among the top 150 Ophthalmologists in the USA by Newsweek in 2021.
Dr. Allen moved to the US in 1994 upon completing with Honors her undergraduate studies in Physiology at Kharkiv State University, Ukraine. She earned her Ph.D. at the University of Rochester before completing her medical degree at SUNY Downstate Medical Center as an Alpha Omega Alpha graduate. She completed her Ophthalmology residency at Albany Medical Center and joined Albany Eye Associates, where she enjoys helping both adult and pediatric patients achieve optimal eye health.
